What is Domestic Violence?

Domestic violence is not just a physical act even though the term used sounds like that.  You may find this  FACT SHEET useful in providing a clear definition.

If you feel like you’re in  a relationship that is hurting you (physically, emotionally verbally, financially or sexually), if you  feel like you’re walking on eggshells, or have limited freedom or control in your life, if you’re concerned about the effects of violence and abuse on your children…
  or
If you’re worried about what happens when you get angry, if you hurt those you care most about, if you’re concerned about how your behaviour affects your partner or children and would you like to deal with thoughts and feelings that lead you to violence or aggression…
